Specialists, Researchers, and Short-term Scholars: IIE works with universities, colleges and research institutes to sponsor individuals who teach, lecture, observe and consult at post-secondary accredited educational institutions for program that last from three weeks to eighteen months. The primary purpose of these programs is to foster the exchange of ideas between Americans and foreign nationals and to stimulate international collaborative teaching and research efforts.
